All of our CHP plants include remote systems monitoring during the warranty period to ensure optimized performance and reliability.
Scope of Supply
Genplant on-site CHP plants are complete solutions that include a required scope for a fully operational energy plant including design, permitting, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning and testing. Genplant offers ongoing CHP plant operations and maintenance, as well as, remote systems monitoring to support the CHP plant once it has been installed.
Why choose CHP?
Combined heat and power (CHP), also known as “cogeneration” and “tri-generation,” is an excellent solution for controlling energy costs while improving the reliability of power and thermal energy production for your facility. A CHP plant converts fuel (usually natural gas or propane) to electricity and thermal energy in the form of steam, hot water and/or chilled water.
The traditional method of utilities utilizes less than 50% of the useful energy in fuel input, while on-site CHP can utilize up to 87% or more of the energy with a much smaller environmental footprint. The resulting impact on your facility is significant. On-site CHP can save as much as 60% or more on your total cost of energy production while reducing your environmental footprint substantially. With gaseous fuels, it is possible to reduce your carbon footprint by up to 50% or more, depending on the fuel used to generate grid electricity and steam/hot water with boilers. On-site CHP is a viable, more cost-effective and reliable alternative to traditional methods of energy production.

Energin M Series
Genplant is an approved distributor for R. Schmitt ENERTEC (RSE) ENERGIN® gas engine gensets. We utilized RSE gas gensets in our µGEN and GENc product lines and provide OEM parts and OEM full service maintenance support for the US and Caribbean.
The ENERGIN® M series Gas engines form the base for a range of efficient power generation products. Depending on your projects requirement you can choose the best fit from our wide range of generator sets with and without heat recovery and cogenerators. The engines are designed and manufactured by R Schmitt Enertec in Mendig, Germany.
The basic features are:

The ENERGIN M Series engines are available in following configurations:
GEN: Generators Set with remote radiator. For applications with no demand for thermal energy.
GEN+: Generators Set with heat recovery from engine jacket water. For applications with lower thermal demand or direct use of hot exhaust gases
CHP: Cogenerator (Combined Heat and Power unit) with heat recovery from jacket water and exhaust. For applications with high demand for thermal energy.
